Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using Sokoview ("the Platform", "we", "our", or "us") available at sokoview.co.tz. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About Sokoview

Sokoview is an investment portfolio tracking platform designed for long-term investors in Tanzania. The Platform allows users to track shares listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), monitor portfolio performance, view dividend data, and access educational content about investing.

2. Eligibility

To use Sokoview, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age;
• Reside in Tanzania or be a Tanzanian investor;
• Register for an account using accurate and complete information;
• Agree to these Terms and any future amendments.

Sokoview reserves the right to refuse access or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Past performance of any stock or portfolio does not guarantee future results;
• You should consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions;
• Sokoview, its owners, directors, and employees accept no liability for any financial loss arising from use of the Platform.

Sokoview sources market data, stock prices, and financial information from publicly available sources including the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE). While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information:

• Market data may be delayed and is not guaranteed to be real-time;
• We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed on the Platform;
• Data errors, technical issues, or third-party data provider failures may occasionally affect information displayed;
• Users should verify all data independently before making any investment decisions.

By using Sokoview, you agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Tanzanian law;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems;
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute any data or content from the Platform without prior written consent;
• Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful software;
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity;
• Use the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm other users;
• Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Platform's functionality.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Sokoview — including the brand name, logo, design, text, graphics, software, and data presentations — is the property of Sokoview and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws in Tanzania.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Platform without express written permission.

8. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Sokoview, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We collect and store:

• Account registration information (name, email address, phone number);
• Portfolio data that you manually enter or import into the Platform;
• Usage data and analytics to improve Platform performance;
• Communication records when you contact our support team.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We use your data solely to provide and improve the Sokoview service.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

Sokoview may offer both free and paid subscription tiers. Where paid features are offered:

• Subscription fees will be clearly disclosed before purchase;
• Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers;
• Subscription fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable Tanzanian consumer protection law;
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable prior notice to users;

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sokoview and its directors, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for:

• Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential financial loss arising from your use of or reliance on the Platform;
• Loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of business opportunity;
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in market data or portfolio calculations;
• Interruptions, delays, or unavailability of the Platform due to maintenance, technical failure, or circumstances beyond our control;
• Any actions taken by you based on information or content accessed through the Platform.

You use the Platform entirely at your own risk.

11. Modifications to the Terms

Sokoview reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.

When we make material changes, we will:

• Post the updated Terms on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date;
• Notify registered users via email where reasonably practicable.

Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
